Yoshiko Sai is one of Japan's most legendary female singers, she made her debut in 1975 with the album Manhua Kagami. She became a professional musician after meeting Rabi Nakayama after a concert, who was convinced to let her record her first album. Yoshiko's debut was produced by Yuji Ohno who would later become famous for writing the soundtrack of anime franchise 'Lupin III'. Soon after recording her second album, she started to compose for movie soundtracks. 

This is P-Vine vinyl reissue of Yoshiko Sai's 2008 album Takla Makan, which was Yoshiko's first album since stepping away from music and after a 30 year haitus.
