Xiaolin dros her latest sonic gem, ‘BLESSYOU026’ on September 13 via Sound Metaphors’ sub-label, Bless You. Known for crafting dreamy, acid-laced soundscapes, Xiaolin's new release is the second in her Moods of Love trilogy, a series paying homage to '80s Cantonese classics.

This time, she reimagines Prudence Liew's '事後 Afterwards', following the massive success of her ‘Plastic Love’ cover, which saw 1,000 copies sold out at the distributor for its first release, leaving just a few left online on the Sound Metaphors site, and a hefty backorder from Japan. The release opens with a signature Xiaolin Vocal Mix that spotlights her effortlessly smooth vocals with Eric Lau on mixing duties, followed by an instrumental Heartbreak Dub version complete with sultry synths and a scintillating percussion line. Tornado Wallace’s remix brings on the breezy Balearic vibes for his rendition of the track, while Androo’s reinterpretation leans more on the melodically emotive side with its soft piano that ebbs and flows throughout. — (via MixMag, Asia)
