DJ NOTOYA, who was one of the first in Japan to focus on Japanese music and gained international attention with his mix compilation "Tokyo 1980s," which instantly became a classic upon release, has released his latest work, "Tokyo 1980s Victor Edition Vol.2 (The Vinyl Mix) Boogie, AOR & Fusion from Japan".

Seven years have passed since the previous work, "Tokyo 1980s Victor Edition," and this second installment is also packed with great tracks. In addition to popular songs from the city pop scene such as Hiromi Iwasaki, Yasuko Agawa, Aru Takamura, and Sadistics, the selection is wide-ranging, including Mami Koyama, who continues to be active on the front lines as a voice actress and narrator, and Mari Iijima, who boasts immense popularity not only in Japan but also overseas, and it is packed with elements of Disco, Boogie, and Modern Soul. The jacket artwork is an illustration by Hiroshi Nagai, just like the previous work. Hidden masterpieces from the 80s are making a triumphant return in 2025.

This new release features a carefully selected collection of tracks that received high praise from overseas in previous digital releases, further optimized for vinyl.
