About

— The Analog Vault // Essential Listening —

Stepping confidently into album-length form, Charlotte de Witte’s 2025 self-titled debut on KNTXT distills her signature techno intensity into a focused and atmospheric statement. The LP’s eleven tracks — including singles “The Realm,” “No Division” featuring XSALT, and “The Heads That Know” with Comma Dee — balance driving percussion with shadowy synth work and tightly controlled tension.

Rather than rely solely on peak-time force, de Witte leans into hypnotic structure and mood, exploring darker textures and measured build-ups that feel both mature and deeply intentional. Charlotte de Witte marks a defining shift from DJ to full-length artist, presenting her sound with clarity, weight, and unmistakable identity. — The Analog Vault

Charlotte de Witte releases her eagerly awaited eponymous self-titled debut LP, which has dropped late 2025. More Berghain than Billboard.

Charlotte de Witte is one of, if not the, biggest techno DJs in the world. And when someone of her stature releases a debut album, the smart money usually says that this is their shot at the pop charts. Luckily, de Witte doesn’t care to play-to-type.

Instead, she turns out an LP that is true to her roots — this is 11 tracks of heads-down techno. Everything that’s made de Witte a superstar is here on record — the drums are tough and precise, the acid lines gurgle, the pads have feeling (even if it does veer into the melodramatic on a tune like  ‘Vidmahe’), and there is at least one breakdown per track.

So while this may not be the record that gets her on an erstwhile Top of The Pops, it is a record that might get her back into Berghain. — (via DJ Mag)

Charlotte de Witte releases her eagerly awaited eponymous self-titled debut LP, which has dropped late 2025. Already hailed by Vogue DE, BBC 6 Music, Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, Mixmag, Rolling Stone, Billboard amm., the acid-drenched, unstoppable lead single and set staple ‘The Realm’, and powerful organ-heavy cut ‘No Division’ (feat. XSALT) reflect the power of the full 11 track release.

After a fifteen year long career of propelling the techno scene forward and 25 standout EPs, the Belgian DJ & producer ‘started to feel the urge to embrace a format that allowed me to showcase my sonic identity in its entirety.’

Though the album is deeply personal – ‘these are tracks that move me, songs that carry me away like only club music and a night lost in it can’ – it’ll be a must-have for fans & techno/acid fiends. ‘Make no mistake, this is a true DJ album. I’m a club kid, always will be, and every track on this record makes me want to dance.’

It’ll do the same for other ravers. — (via Label)
