Ben Kaczor has undoubtedly become one of the most enigmatic and intriguing figures within the underground electronic music scene over the past few years. Fresh off his stunning debut album Sun Chapter One (2022), Kaczor’s sophomore LP on Dial Records further cemented his reputation as one of modern techno’s premiere producers.

Released in 2023, this radiant record is awash with his ethereal approach to dub techno and deep house. Inspired by an ear-shaped seashell he found while diving, Petrovo Uho (meaning “Peter’s Ear") is dedicated to his transformative time in Croatia. “The atmospheric soundscapes of the tracks reflect memories and feelings of travelling through Croatia, the force of the sea and wind, the play of lights and moods,” Kaczor explains. That subliminal vibe was indeed reflected in this exceptionally hypnotic effort. 

This is Ben Kaczor's second LP and the first to be released under the Dial stable. This release sees Ben venturing further into the deep, dubby and ethereal, resulting in pensive soundscapes, mellow grooves and textured downtempo electronics. 8 tracks of sumptuous deep house and techno sound, a sound that is synonymous of Dial.

“For the album, an important conceptual thought came from encountering a rare ear-shaped seashell called Petro Uvo (Peter’s Ear). I found it while diving in Dubrovnik, Croatia in the summer. Inspired by the sound of a foreign language, I decided to keep all the tracks in Croatian, some of them in the dialect of the town of Dubrovnik, because the atmospheric soundscapes of the tracks reflect memories and feelings of traveling through Croatia, the force of the sea and wind, the play of lights and moods.” — (via Bandcamp)
