Theo Parrish’s Sketches was originally released as a triple vinyl set for the 2010 edition of Movement in Detroit. Limited to a 150 copies, it sold out in a matter of hours. The original vinyl is still highly sought after with prices reaching three figures on Discogs regularly. This October Sound Signature will be reissuing Parrish's classic, bundled with his 12" single ‘Somethin About Detroit’.
Sketches is a blend of Parrish's jazz roots with his electronic soundscapes, featuring contributions from Larry Mizell, IG Culture, the Rotating Assembly. It was recorded at his Detroit studio and the Red Bull studios in Cologne and Toronto.
This reissue will also feature replicas of the original spray-painted covers and there is no indication of how many copies will be pressed for this run. It is slated to be released on 28th October.
