Just released on 16th September is The Gaslamp Killer's sophomore album Instrumentalepathy. Another psychedelic electronic romp with his usual sampling of ethnic instruments which will have you feeling like William S. Burroughs' titular character in Naked Lunch, wandering through Tangier and various dreamscapes hopped up on narcotics.
Coming off a near death experience which happened three years ago, Gaslamp Killer reportedly recorded a handful of tracks while still bed ridden and as the man himself puts it "unable to walk, with morphine running through his veins and staples in his body".
Instrumentalepathy features an impressive array of artists with close ties to Gaslamp Killer through his association with Brainfeeder, Low End Theory and more. Artists include Gonjasufi, Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Niki Randa, Kid Moxie, Mophono, Amir Yaghmai and The Heliocentrics.
Check out the album below and also the teaser trailer for the album directed by Flying Lotus.
