Erykah Badu's triple platinum-selling debut, Baduizm, and her sophomore platinum album, Mama's Gun has been reissued for vinyl.
Baduizm released in 1997 to universal critical acclaim, drawing comparisons in her style to Billie Holiday and her album is often praised for popularising the neo-soul movement of the time. The album topped the US R&B and Hip Hop charts for two weeks, which included her certified gold hit-single 'On & On'.
Mama's Gun was also met with great critical success, viewed as a female companion to fellow neo-soul stalwart D'Angelo's Voodoo, featuring similar musical direction and style. It also featured contributions from Questlove and J Dilla, and was certified platinum shortly upon release.
Universal Motown has reissued both records, and are currently available now.
