Just released on 26th August, ‘And The Anonymous Nobody…’ is De La Soul’s first album after a twelve year gap. Self-released by the group and funded through Kickstarter with an initial goal of $110,000, the campaign far exceeded their expectations by raising over $600,000 in the end.
Uploaded to the group’s YouTube channel is a documentary titled ‘We’re Still Here (now)… a documentary about nobody’, which delves into the making of the album, the Kickstarter crowdfunding process and their collaboration with a stacked line up including Snoop Dogg, David Byrne, Little Dragon and Damon Albarn to name a few.
