Attilo Mineo's Cult Futurism Album 'Man In Space With Sounds' To Be Reissued

Kitschy but out of this world, Attilo Mineo's Man In Space With Sounds was recorded in 1951 but released for the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle. The album will be reissued by Modern Harmonic who are no strangers to space age futurism with their reissues of Sun Ra's titles this year.

The album features 12 tracks and as described by the label "they’re an inebriated burlesque of circus organs, tipsily galloping bongo beats and electronic hydrazine expectorations that enclose the listener." Mineo also provides the narration accompanying the album which has been sampled by the best in recent years. No surprises that even MF DOOM has sampled this album which fittingly aligns with his preference for sound samples from the yesteryear.

The album looks set to be released on 13th January as part of Modern Harmonic's Winter In Space event.
