Featured in this episode, Hongthong Dao-udon was one of the great Thai singers of the "third generation" of Molam, one of the first artists who succeeded in fusing Molam with Luk Thung — a feat that’s only second to the undeniable emotional power of her voice, carrying joy, whimsy, melancholy and desolation all at once.
