Albert Leornes "Al" Greene, often known as The Reverend Al Green, is an American soul singer, songwriter, and record producer. Most notably known for a string of hit singles in the early 1970s, such as "Take Me to the River", "Tired of Being Alone" and his breakthrough song "Let's Stay Together".

Often referred to as one of the last great Southern soul singers, Al Green’s blend of deep soul and smooth Philly soul is captured perfectly within Greatest Hits, and is often ranked as one of the best greatest hits album in history.
