New Compilation of Helena Hauff's Early Works Has Been Pressed On Vinyl

DJ, producer and ex-resident of Hamburg's Golden Pudel Club, Helena Hauff has released a compilation of her earliest recordings from 2011 and 2014 via Dark Entries Records.

The compilation titled, A Tape, was originally released on limited run cassette tape by  Handmade Birds in 2015. The collection spans Hauff’s musical universe, from jacking acid-techno to krautish zone-outs and scuzzy feedback interludes. Featuring deep, sinister analog synth sequences, industrial dissonance, and heavy percussion.

All tracks on the vinyl was mastered by James Plotkin with vinyl EQ and lacquer cut by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Housed in a custom made jacket designed by Eloise Leigh, featuring a checkered graphic and black lines, highlighted by yellow and green for maximum visual tension. Attilo Mineo's Cult Futurism Album 'Man In Space With Sounds' To Be Reissued

Attilo Mineo's Cult Futurism Album 'Man In Space With Sounds' To Be Reissued

Kitschy but out of this world, Attilo Mineo's Man In Space With Sounds was recorded in 1951 but released for the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle. The album will be reissued by Modern Harmonic who are no strangers to space age futurism with their reissues of Sun Ra's titles this year.

The album features 12 tracks and as described by the label "they’re an inebriated burlesque of circus organs, tipsily galloping bongo beats and electronic hydrazine expectorations that enclose the listener." Mineo also provides the narration accompanying the album which has been sampled by the best in recent years. No surprises that even MF DOOM has sampled this album which fittingly aligns with his preference for sound samples from the yesteryear.

The album looks set to be released on 13th January as part of Modern Harmonic's Winter In Space event.
