British music collective Sault (a project that is helmed by songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Inflo, best known for his work with Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka, Cleo Sol, and Jungle) are as enigmatic as they are prolific. No interviews, live shows, music videos, photos for publicity of any kind. Perhaps they feel all that time spent touring or promoting could be better used making music. Which might explain how they’ve managed to release 11 full-length albums in the three years since their arrival in 2019. Sault’s output may be copious but the law of diminishing returns does not seem to apply to them. 

Somehow, all their LPs have been breathtakingly sublime, particularly this fourth album Untitled (Rise), which was named as album of the year by several publications. Untitled (Rise) is dancefloor-centric wonder - a raucous fiesta that’s as musically life-affirming as it is lyrically political. From the infectious batucada of "I Just Want to Dance" to the irresistible boogie of “Son Shine” - this record is an unabashed carnival of house, disco, R&B, soul-jazz and funk. - The Analog Vault
